Daya’s latest single is “Left Me Yet” about how someone hasn’t left her yet. And there’s a moody music video to go with it.
Daya is back with “Left Me Yet” following the success of “Insomnia” three months ago. The new tracks will be part of her upcoming sophomore album scheduled for release sometime this year.
“I get mad, I hide things and say things I can’t take back/ I push you away, why do I do that/ Impatient, but you’re patient with me/ I’m surprised you haven’t left me yet…” sings Daya in the chorus.
In the song Daya, aka Grace Martine Tandon, seems insecure about a relationship. This follows “Insomnia” a song about how she can’t sleep without her lover. It seems like she is in a codependent relationship. But so are a lot of people so it should get a lot of streams.
You might remember Daya from her most popular song “Don’t Let Me Down” by the Chainsmokers. She is also well known for “I Wanna Know” with RL Grime, and “Feel Good” with Illenium and Gryffin. Her debut album Sit Still Look Pretty dropped in 2016.
Daya recently performed at NYC World Pride wearing track pants, and oversized white t-shirt, a green trench coat, cat eye sunglasses and sneakers. She recently came out as bisexual.
