January 26-29, 2018
Groove Cruise Miami

The original Groove Cruise is back late this January from Miami to a private location in the Bahamas. In addition to live DJ’s playing awesome music there will be a rock climbing wall, bungee trampolines, a solarium, a fitness spa, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, open bar packages and so much more.

Dirtybird Campout East

Last fall was Dirtybird Campout on the west coast. This late winter they are at it again on the east coast where there are alligators and giant mosquitos. You can reserve a Glades Getaway package although it is not exactly glamping. There will be tons of fun camp activities including arts and crafts and sports.

EDC Mexico

Mexicans love the electronic dance music and this February is EDC Mexico 2018. According to an Insomniac spokesperson, “Viva Mexico—and lasers, and dance music, and the dulce y picante vibes our Headliners are known for.” It’s all happening at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

Beyond Wonderland

At the NOS Events Center in beautiful Orange County, California we can’t forget about Beyond Wonderland. It is the EDM festival by Insomniac Events that has a mind bending Alice in Wonderland theme. Tickets will go on sale January 11. There should be an announcement about the lineup soon.
SXSW

Part music festival, part film festival and part technology conference, SXSW is not an EDM festival. But since they always debut new technology and music at SXSW it is very future and a great place to network. It is not the best event to wear glitter boobs or pasties unless that is what your booth is about.

Ultra Music Festival – Miami

The ultimate spring break music festival is Ultra Miami. This year they have an epic lineup that includes the biggest names in progressive house. It’s all going down in Bayfront Park in Miami, an EDM capital of the world. This event is part of Miami Music Week, a weeklong marathon of EDM events held each year.

Coachella

Coachella has become the protypical music festival as a red carpet for celebrities and festival fanatics. The underground yet mainstream musical event is a chance to see and be seen wearing your hippest, most revealing bohemian garments. Passes sell out each year as soon as they are released.

Moogfest

Moogfest is not a rave it is a music technology conference that is attended by the best music producers in the world each year. If you are interested in making electronic dance music then this is an excellent place to learn more. Durham is located outside of Raleigh near the Falls Lake State Recreation Area.
EDC Las Vegas

Electronic Daisy Carnival is the most important Insomniac event of the year, possibly because it happens in Las Vegas, another EDM capital. This year there will be camping packages available at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If city camping isn’t your thing the area is surrounded by affordable resort hotels.

LIB 2018 rounds off spring this May in central California. The four day camping, art and music festival is the only family friendly event on this list. Earlybird tickets are sold out but General Onsale will start this January 18. There is an option for luxurious Boutique Camping that sleeps up to four guests.
With SXSW, Ultra Miami, Coachella and EDC all in a row, spring is one of the busiest times of year for ravers, DJ’s and anyone else who follows music festivals around such as gypsies or makeup artists.
