Foster the People Adopt Louis the Child in ‘Every Color’

Foster the People collaborated with Louis the Child on a new single called “Every Color” that is a seamless blend of alternative and EDM.

Louis the Child is Robby Hauldren and Frederic Kennett from Winnetka, Canada. Foster the People, aka Mark Foster, Sean Cimino, Isom Innis, and Mark Pontius, released a little song called “Pumped up Kicks” in 2010. Now the two acts are combining genres to release a dance music track.

I can see every color in you/ And I can feel every color in me/ I can see/ You got me frozen like a photograph/ Floating in a future modern throwback…” sings Foster in the opening lines.

This is Foster the People’s first release since “Imagination,” “Style” and “Pick You Up” via Columbia Records in 2019. In 2018 they did dance music tracks with the Knocks in “Ride or Die” and “Blur” with . Their last studio length album was Sacred Hearts Club (2017).

Louis the Child dropped a single called “Don’t Mind” last January. Last year they released “Big Time (X Games Theme),” “Too Close” with Wrabel, “Free” with Drew Love, and “Here Comes a Feeling” with Naomi Wild and Couros. They released the Kids at Play EP on Interscope in 2018.

Every Color with Foster The People is out! We started this song about a year ago at Freddy’s place where we wrote the hook and created a rough drop. We went to Mark’s place months later and played him a bunch of ideas we had and he really liked Every Color. Mark’s studio is full of old synths and random music toys so we basically spent the whole day playing around with all the gear he had, adding anything that excited us. After that we kinda went on a spree of buying analog gear, much of which has made it onto other songs on the album. FTP is one of our favorite artists and it’s amazing to get to work with an artist you admire and learn from them in the process. We really hope you enjoy this song as much as we do 💜 | @itscolinmiller
