Disclosure Produces Posthumous Track for Mac Miller

English production duo and brothers Disclosure disclosed that they produced “Blue World” for the posthumous Circles LP by Mac Miller.

Mac Miller, aka Malcom McCormick, passed away last September 2018 from an accidental drug overdose. But he left behind a partially recorded album that is the intellectual property of Warmer Bros Music. Circles dropped last Friday, and today Disclosure revealed that they produced “Blue Moon” for the project. Play the visual on YouTube below.

Yeah, well, this mad world made me crazy/ Might just turn around, do one-eighty/ I ain’t politickin’, I ain’t kissing no babies/ The devil on my doorstep being so shady/ Don’t trip, We don’t gotta let him in, don’t trip/ I let it go, but I never go with it…” laments McCormick from beyond the grave.

Disclosure, aka Howard and Guy Lawrence, only produced one track on Circles. And Guy has song writing credits, along with McCormick, George Forrest and Robert Wright.

Disclosure stated, “A few years ago, I had the honour and privilege of writing some music with the late great Mac Miller. We had a great day in the studio and wrote a song together called ‘Blue World’ which I’m delighted to say is out now. Like so much of Mac’s music, the meaning of this song has changed so much for me since his passing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it with such a sweet, kind & talented man. Rest in peace Mac, Guy 🙏🏼🌎🙏🏼”

Most of the new album was produced by Jon Brion, an established film score composer and former member of The Excerpts, The Bats, and The Grays. Disclosure actually co-produced “Blue World” with Brion. Miller also has production credits so perhaps he did some pre-producing in the studio.
