Marshmello is going hip hop with Southside, Giggs and SAINt JHN in the new song “Been Thru This Before” and the official music video.
Marshmello has an exciting new hip hop song called “Been Thru This Before” in collaboration with American record producer Southside, and British rapper Giggs and rapper SAINt JHN from Brooklyn, New York. In the music video they have a small tea party with friends in the woods.
“Most these toolied up goons, ghost, and goblins/ Nah, mostly bougie stuff, don’t see problems/ Know she said she was, but no, she wasn’t/ Yeah, posted hoodied up, yeah, Gucci bottoms…” raps Giggs.
American audiences may be asking, “What’s a toolie?” That’s a great question. “Toolie” is an Australian colloquialism. It means a man who hangs out around high schools so he can flirt with teenagers (Your Dictionary). For example David Wooderson from Dazed and Confused (1993).
Southside is a hip hop producer associated with acts like 808 Mafia, 21 Savage, Future, Gucci Mane, G-Eazy, Sonny Digital, Waka Flocka Flame, Travis Scott and Migos.
Meanwhile Christopher “Marshmello” Comstock posted this image of himself dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton denim.
