Skrillex and Boys Noize are bringing back Dog Blood after seven years, and just released a new track called “Turn Off the Lights.”
In the space between 2012 and 2014, Skrillex and Boys Noize released a series of Middle Finger EP’s. Now they are teasing new music with the release of “Turn Off the Lights.”
“Turn off the lights…!” suggests a voice in the new song by Sonny “Skrillex” Moore” and Alexander “Boys Noize” Ridha amid the driving electro house beats.
The cover art is the bottom part of a tree frog. Tree frogs are cute, but what they have to do with EDM is still a mystery. You can’t even see the whole thing, just the feet glowing in the dark.
On their prospective official Instagram accounts, Skrillex says the track is perfect for summer raves. Boys Noize calls the song a banger. They also played a B2B DJ set at Ultra Miami 2019.
There is no word on what Skrillex’s dog, Loki Moore, thinks about all this.
