The colorblock fashion trend is back from the depths of the 80’s and 90’s to add a pop of color to your spring and summer wardrobe.

When you shop for colorblock clothing and accessories, you have to decide on a color combination. Do you want two colors, pastel colors, neutral colors, or as many colors as possible? And at what point does a block become a stripe? At the end of the day that is up to you to decide.

Gucci

The Gucci Quilted Color-Block Metallic Leather Shoulder Bag ($1,200) is colorblock, metallic and Gucci. It hangs from a dainty braided leather strap that is approximately 59.5 inches long.

Comme des Garçons

The Comme des Garçons Colour-Block Tull Skirt is on sale for $669 from and original MSRP of $1,338. It is a feminine take on colorblock in pastel tulle and lace. Wear it with a bralette top.

Marni

Marni included a lot of colorblock in their recent collection, such as these Colour-Block Acetate Sunglasses ($304). The tri-colored shades are red and pink with orange-tinted lenses.

Alice and Olivia

The A+O Labell Colorblock Pullover (On sale for $198) is described as a wearable piece of art. The 100% Merino wool sweater features an asymmetrical hem, cropped fit and rounded neck.

Free People

The Free People Bonita One-Piece Swimsuit ($98) comes in blue and lime green, pink and red, or beige and black. It has a twisted bodice with cutout detailing and a high cut at the thighs.

Levi’s

Levi’s 501^® Colorblock High Waist Cutoff Shorts ($98) are a cool vintage style with a high rise waist. In addition to front pockets there are zipper details on the front, with coral and mustard hems.

Fila

The Fila Women’s Luminance ($70) comes in four color combinations. They are made from synthetic materials, suede and mesh. And the patented EVA midsole provides an extra layer.

Champion

Champion is getting into the women’s sneaker game with their 93Eighteen SP Block Women’s Shoes ($64). They are a combination of manmade materials and leather with a padded tongue.

Missguided

Missguided has a lot of colorblock stuff, such as the Blue Pastel Colorblock Overhead Windbreaker Jacket ($59). They style it with animal print bike shorts, puka shell choker and bucket hat.

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters also has a ton of colorblock stuff. The UO Bailey Colorblock Bike Short ($49) matches the Colorblock Mesh Cropped Top ($39). They are a poly-spandex blend.

Current Mood

Nike

The Nike AeroBill Colorblocked Hat ($28) is from their men’s collection. But the retro turquoise and pink cap also suits women. Or maybe it’s unisex and pansexual and fashion has no gender.

The Pretty Little Thing Color Block Shell Suit Short ($28), can be worn individually, or with the Colour Block Hooded Crop Windbreaker ($45). It is shown above in the Stone color combination.

K Pop Today

The K Pop Today Pastel Block T-Shirt ($24.95) is and oversized tee available in blue or pink. Buy it in one size up to make it appear even more oversized. You could wear it with shorts and boots.

Forever 21

There are muchisimo colorblock products at Forever 21 right now, including the Sheer Colorblock Crop Top ($14.90). The Rastafarian colors and sheer mesh are perfect for music festivals.

Nasty Gal

The Nasty Gal WANT In Your Primary Colorblock Fanny Pack is “50% off” at $12. The belt bag boasts a center compartment and pouch made from synthetic materials with zip closures.
