kiiara in music video for "be somebody" by Steve aoki and nicky romero

Steve Aoki & Nicky Romero ‘Be Somebody’ ft Kiiara Is No Fairy Tale

In the new music video for “Be Somebody” by Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero, Kiiara doesn’t need anyone but herself to be successful.

Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero produced a song called “Be Somebody” with Kiiara with feminist lyrics. Now there is an electric new music video that is sort of an anti-fairy tale.

Cause I’m so impatient, fed up with waiting/ Oh, if you leave me here, I’ll end up suffocating/ I’m in this safe space, this empty hallway/ I can’t be stuck in stationary, like this always/ I don’t need you, ’cause I got me/ I don’t need you for me to be somebody…” sings Kiiara wearing electrical wiring.

Men often accuse women of using them for something, especially in the music industry, even if they don’t have that much. It’s the influence of rap lyrics from the 90’s. In fairy tales the woman marries a prince and he saves her. But if you think about it she can save herself without depending on someone else. And it’s unequal treatment to discriminate against all female artists.
