Selena Gomez named her new album Rare so it must be the theme. In the music video for “Rare” she acts like a princess in a magical wonderland and also she sings like a princess.
“It feels like you don’t care… / I’ll bet there’s somebody else out there/ To tell me I’m rare/ To make me feel rare…” sings Gomez in a strong hint to someone — possibly someone famous.
The song was written by song writing duo Simon Says and Sir Nolan with help from a team of composers and producers. It is track one on her third studio length album Rare, and the second single following “Lose You to Love Me” late last year. The album was released exclusively at Target, and also on the internet. They will be playing it every hour on the hour on iHeartRadio.
On her official Instagram account Gomez posted this image of herself behind the scenes at the “Rare” music video shoot with a copy of her new album. The caption reads, “HERE IT IS!!! My album is officially out in the universe.. thank you for the souls that worked on this with me. Now it’s yours. Hope you like it. 🌈🌸💐 #Rare”
On his Instagram account Sir Nolan, aka Nolan Lambroza, stated, “Can’t believe it’s finally out! Have been working on this project for a while now and can’t be more excited for everyone involved.”
