Singer-songwriter Lights returns with a new single called “Lost Girls” and a futuristic, acoustic comic book ninja themed video.
Lights Poxleitner-Bokan has a new album coming out this summer called Skin&Earth Acoustic. The first single is “Lost Girls” and it comes with a music video featuring Lights being a ninja.
“Block the number that you’re getting in/ This goddamn sunset is a specimen/ Look at us now, atop a mad world/ With a nose bleed, poppin Advil/ Look at us now, fuck the bastards/ In your dad’s truck, just the lost girls…” sings Lights while strumming a guitar in between shots.
Even though she is releasing an acoustic album, Lights incorporates her sci-fi style into the video by dressing like a ninja and swinging around samurai swords in an abandoned warehouse. Lights publishes a comic book series called Skin & Earth that influences her music and vice versa.
On her official Instagram account Lights revealed an acoustic tour is coming this summer with special guest Tillie. According to Lights, “My acoustic shows have evolved into something entirely their own over the years. I laugh, I cry, I likely drink wine. It will be intimate, epic and transportive. Come ready to sing 🧚♂️🌹🍷🔮…” She continues, “Also @whoistillie is a bad ass stoked she could come out for this.” Visit the official website of Lights to get the special presale tickets code.
Skin&Earth Acoustic by Lights is out on July 21, 2019. Pre-order it now from your legitimate music provider of choice.
