In the official music video for her latest single “Deep” Julia Micheals sits on a mattress with a lot of pink balloons and roses.
“Deep” by Julia Michaels is fresh off her Inner Monologue, Pt-1 EP that dropped last January. The romantic ballad comes with a simple music video with her wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
“I’m tryna come up with a systematic approach/ To love you and let you go/ But you’re cloudin’ up my judgement every time/ You give me chills when you look at me like that/ I don’t know how I feel/ Nobody’s deep…” sings Michaels in the opening verse.
Track one of the new EP was “Anxiety” featuring Selena Gomez. That’s because Julia Michaels has written five songs for Gomez, including “Body Heat,” “Revival,” “Slow Down,” “Sober” and “Revival.” She also has credit for “Friends,” “Sorry,” and “The Feeling” by Justin Bieber.
So who is “Deep” about? Possibly this guy who keeps appearing on her official Instagram account. That is English singer-songwriter James Blake. He’s also a multi-instrumentalist and producer.
Michaels will be on her Inner Monologue Tour, Part 1 with stops in North America and Australia for the rest of the spring. Check out the full tour schedule.
