Joji collaborated with K-pop star Jackson Wang on a song called “Walking” that features famous rapper Swae Lee and producers Major Lazer.
In an epic collaboration we haven’t seen in weeks, Joji, Jackson Wang, Swae Lee and Major Lazer are all together in “Walking.” The new music video is inspired by campy Japanese monster movies.
“You got what I want, I see you walking away/ This feels too real, I hope we could be the same/ Back and forth but you won’t get nowhere/ I just want to relive this over…” sing Joji and Swae Lee.
The track is part of the 88 Rising compilation Head in the Clouds II that dropped last week.
Wang is technically the most famous of the crew, with over 15 million followers on social media. Even if you don’t understand Korean. He is a member of the South Korean boy group Got7, which is signed to JYP Entertainment. He is also on Korean reality TV shows.
Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, aka Swae Lee has 7.8 million followers making him too cool to bother posting the single on Instagram. He did post a photo of himself wearing only overalls.
Major Lazer posted the cover art and the lyric video on their Instagram. They have 3.7 million followers but remember that Diplo, Walshy Fire and Ape Drums have separate profiles.
On Instagram George “Joji” Miller stated, “I was a fucking Amphipod, not a lobster. Don’t even associate me with that class, I don’t fuck with the genus Symbion like that I don’t even rep them.”
An amphipod is defined by Wikipedia as, “An order of malacostracan crustaceans with no carapace and generally with laterally compressed bodies. Amphipods range in size from 1 to 340 millimetres and are mostly detritivores or scavengers.”
