Chain belts are back for another round in fall 2019. They are also known as hoop or loop belts, and sometimes o-ring link belts.
Chanel made it cool to stack gold chain belts sometime during the 1980’s and 90’s. But the trend was also popular with 60’s go go dancers and 70’s disco dancers. Then around two years ago the trend returned. And it is such a great way to dress up a pair or jeans or denim shorts. They also help define the waist in a dress or jumpsuit. Although they won’t hold your pants up.

There are a ton of different kind of Chanel chain belts from throughout the years, such as this CHANEL Interlocking CC Mark Chain Belt ($536) that is also an import from Tokyo, Japan.
Rixo
The Rixo Starfish Chain Belt ($224) is 100% brass and perfect for a mermaid themed outfit or costume, or anyone that enjoys mermaids. You could probably lie and say it is Versace too.
Cult Gaia
The minds behind the Cult Gaia bag are back with the Tasha Belt ($148) in Tortoise. Apparently they think that the o-rings should be extra large. These are the widest hoops in the list.
Blow the Belt
The B-low the Belt Nadia Chain Belt ($128) is 41″ of vintage style brass with a twist. The extra length gives it a nice long drop. This is more street fashion because belts should be very long.
True Religion
The True Religion Tiered Chain Belt ($49) consists of smaller huggie links. They do not say what it is made of but mention it can be worn with denim or a dress for a perfect addition to any look.

NA-KD

The Urban Outfitters Circle Chain Belt ($19) comes in gold and silver-tone. Wear it alone with jeans and a crop top. Or layer it with more chain belts in a bohemian outfit with jeans or a dress.
Pretty Little Thing
The Pretty Little Thing Gold Hoop Multi Chain Belt ($15) has two smaller chains dangling across the front, which is a nice feature. They have a lot of different chain belts if you prefer silver.

The Wild Fable™ Silver Chain Belt ($15) is part of Target’s line for the bohemian crowd. They describe it as a metal chain belt with a silver finish that adds shine. It is approximately 34″.
Forever 21
It’s hard to tell the difference between the metal in the Forever 21 Layered Chain Hip Belt ($12.99) and designer belts without studying jewelry design. You probably shouldn’t get it wet.
Nasty Gal
The Nasty Gal Chain It O-ring Belt ($8) features o-ring detailing and a lobster clasp. It is made from 100% synthetic materials. When you wear it over jeans it forms a circle around the top closure.
