Australian indie label Future Classic is teaming up with Dropbox to offer a handful of artist residencies in Los Angeles this summer.
Future Classic, aka the independent record label that brought you Flume, Flight Faculties, Ta-ku and George Maple, has announced a residency program in partnership with Dropbox. Six applicants will receive a two week all expenses paid residency at their studios in Frogtown, LA.
Applications will be accepted until November 31, 2019. Representatives will review them on a rolling basis until then. They encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
The elite program covers flights, accommodations and studio time with industry mentors in LA for two weeks. Their goal is to help develop new artists by offering creative consulting and industry advice. You do not have to have a manager to be considered. The residents also will be filmed on camera, and then shared on their social media channels, in addition to your own.
To enter you have to create a Dropbox Doc that functions as your application, and then submit it online. Be sure to include links to your best work. They do mention not to add too much fluff.
