The Pucci dress gets a rework in the form of activewear, bikinis and one pieces that are suitable for strenuous activities.
Italian designer Emilio Pucci’s colorful, geometric patterns have been a status symbol since the 1960’s. An authentic Pucci dress is recognizable by other people in the fashion industry. Now you can get your Pucci on in more casual leggings, exercise bras and swimwear.
The Printed Lycra Crop Top ($380) comes in two varieties with cool or warm tones. The matching Printed Lycra Leggings ($530) has the brand logo emblazoned on the waistband. They also have sneakers in the $500 to $800 range. Keep in mind a Pucci dress costs over $1,000 brand new.
What if you want to go swimming? From top left to right you see the Printed Triangle Bikini (On sale for $339), the Draped Ruffled Swimsuit ($530), the Printed Swimsuit (On sale for $312), and the Textured Bikini Set ($485). These are like something a 60’s go go dancer would wear.
Other modern innovations in the new collection include sunglasses (shown above), crop tops, a belt bag, a crewneck sweatshirt, and there are still plenty of dresses and silk scarves.
Pucci activewear and swimsuits are available at Luisaviaroma and Farfetch. Check out the Emilio Pucci Spring Summer 2019 Ready to Wear collection at their official website.
