DJ Snake has been hinting about “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Cardi B. and Ozuna for weeks now, and finally dropped the music video.
Last July DJ Snake revealed on Instagram that he was in the studio with Cardi B. working on his new album. Then on September 7 he posted a behind the scenes photo at the video shoot for “Taki Taki” with Selena Gomez, Cardi B. and Ozuna, a Latin pop singer from Puerto Rico. Freakin’ a month and four days later we finally have to “Taki Taki” music video to watch and enjoy.
“DJ Snake/ Careful when you come through my way/ My body-ody know how to play/ Work it, keep it tight everyday/ And I, I, I know you need a taste…” sings Gomez with a Latin flair.
The song is number one on the US Latin charts right now.
Taki taki is a Spanish slang word that doesn’t translate well to English. Urban Dictionary defines it as, “The illness to dance or sing.” It’s kind of like being sick with it, only you’re sick with music.
Last May DJ Snake, aka William Grigahcine, revealed he was working on his sophomore album. But he has not yet confirmed a release date. However he has released four singles from the upcoming LP this year, “Let’s Get Ill” with Mercer, “Maradona Riddim” with Niniola, “Creep On Me” with GASHI and French Montana, and of course “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Cardi B. and Ozuna.
