Diplo released another EP called Higher Ground, and he remarked that eight more house music records are coming this summer.
Technically it’s a single, but there are two new Diplo tracks on his latest release Higher Ground out now via Mad Decent. This project is more of an instrumental house deal.
“I’ll hold you tight/ All through the night…” drones a repetitive voice in track one “Hold You Tight.” The second track “Bubble Up” is more percussive, (which means of or relating to drums).
This follows “No New Friends” by Labrinth, Sia and Diplo on March 15, 2019. It also follows Major Lazer Africa Is the Future on March 22, 2019. He collaborated with Ellie Goulding and Swae Lee on “Close to You” in November 2018. There was “Electricity” by Silk City featuring Dua Lipa in September 2018. Jack Ü, aka Diplo and Skrillex, haven’t released new music since 2015.
On his official Instagram account, Diplo, aka Wesley Pentz, stated that he is putting out eight house records this summer. Although it isn’t that clear if he is being facetious or not. This will have to “hold you” until then, along with all the other music he released in the past few months.
Diplo will be playing a lot of music festivals and Las Vegas shows this spring before heading off to Europe in June. Check out the full tour schedule at the official website of Diplo.
