Watch the animated music video for Deadmau5 and Mr. Bill’s track “10.8.” It’s full of chill computer animation, synths, clicks and beeps.
The second single and third track from Deadmau5‘s compilation album Mau5ville: Level 2, “10.8” is a collaboration with Australian producer Mr. Bill. The psychedelic yet futuristic computer animation is by visual artists Funilab, Felix Stief and Sneekypops.
Animated Deadmau5, aka Joel Zimmerman, appears in the music video in a stadium show with his Mau5cube, flanked by two cats and two giant hands giving us the finger.
Deadmau5 and Mr. Bill, aka Bill James Day, have been talking about a collaboration since the summer of 2017, when Mr. Bill tweeted about it on his official account. At the time, Deadmau5 stated, “actually been having a few good chats with @mrbillstunes … man, he’s been around for a while, great music, solid dude. I’d defo collab. :)” (sic).

The two dropped the then unreleased version of the track at Aisle 5 in Atlanta, Georgia last April. One young man in the comments section drove eight hours just to witness it. The event was captured in this video and then posted on YouTube.
See people really do use the video footage they take at concerts. Speaking of concerts, Deadmau5 is slated to appear at Beyond Wonderland 2019 in San Bernardino, California on March 22, 2019. He is booked at Creamfields 2019 next August.
