Bassnectar continued his Reflection series with “Illusion” featuring Peekaboo and Born I, reminding us what EDM is really about.
The Bay Area’s Bassnectar has released three Reflective EP’s on his label Amorphous Music since 2017. Now comes Part IV, and a music video for “Illusion” with Peekaboo and Born I.
“I gotta get the place moving…” repeats a voice in the sample, which is a lot of pressure on Bassnectar. Or maybe it’s more of an inner monologue about what it’s like to play a stadium show.
Peekaboo, aka Matthew Lucas, is a dubstep producer from Detroit, Michigan, who is signed to Amorphous Music. Check out his Wrecking Ball EP. Born I is a hip hop and EDM artist best known for working with Bassnectar. He is featured on two tracks in the new Reflective IV EP.
On his official Instagram account, Lorin “Bassnectar” Ashton revealed that the EP drops April 5, 2019, which is this Friday. You can pre-order the project at his official website, Bassnectar.net. You can also get a limited edition merch bundle that comes with shirts and hoodies with the cover art on them, a bonafide compact disc (CD), poster and sticker. Or buy all four Reflective CD’s for $28.
