Major Lazer’s self titled cartoon about a protaganist named Major Lazer is full of marijuana puns and their music productions.
Major Lazer the animated series aired on FX Network from April 16 to June 25, 2015. The group recently uploaded every episode on YouTube, in case you missed it because you have a life.
In Episode One “Bad Seed” Major Lazer and Penny go on a quest to get stoned. But Penny gets too high after she smokes cannabis she purchases from a stranger named Weed Man and gets kidnapped by Mary Jane. It is actually a musical because the show is soundtracked by original productions. There are twelve episodes that are approximately ten to 15 minutes long.
Major Lazer consists of music producer/ DJ’s Wesley “Diplo” Pentz, Leighton Paul Walsh aka Walshy Fire, and Eric Alberto-Lopez aka Ape Drums. They are best known for their songs “Bubble Butt” (2013), “Lean On” (2015) with DJ Snake and MØ, and “Cold Water” (2016) featuring Justin Bieber.
