Cult sneaker company Vans and new wave designer Vivienne Westwood got together and designed a collection in time for fall 2019.
Vans is a legendary sneaker originally intended for skateboarding in 1966. Vivienne Westwood brought punk and new wave fashion into the mainstream during the 1980’s. Together they have designed women’s sneakers that have both of their names and logos emblazoned on them.
Westwood gives her take on the Check Slip-on, Authentic and the Old Skool. All bear her signature lightning bolt and orb print
Also included in the collection are leather Sk8-His, and a pair in the lesser known Anaheim Factory Style 53 DX. You could wear those to work in a restaurant or chain store.
On their official Instagram account Vans representatives suggest we make a statement in the new collection this Fall. The collection will be available from Vans and Vivienne Westwood starting on September 20. They style them with oversized tees, tube socks and denim jackets.
