Indie hip hop/electronic duo Sweet Valley want you to know about their new album Eternal Champ II, as well as “Hit & Run” the first single.
Sweet Valley have another album called Eternal Champ II that is coming 4/20/2018 on Ghost Ramp. There is a music video for “Hit & Run” that you should watch below.
Sweet Valley is a side project of Nathan Williams from Wavves and his brother, Joel “Kynan” Williams. Ghost Ramp is the former’s independent record label.
Nathan told Pitchfork that the band formed organically at home. “I had bought a house in L.A. and basically asked Joel to come and live in it with me under the condition that we start a group called Sweet Valley,” he said. “We didn’t really know what it was going to be, we just wanted to base it around samples and keyboards. I wanted to do something not like Wavves.”
He continued, “Because I’m letting him live here for free. Otherwise he’d just sit around smoking all of my weed all day.”
The two must be huge fans of the Sweet Valley High (1983-2003) book series for girls, originally created by Francine Pascal. In the stories meant for pre-teens, two twin sisters go through adventures at a high school in a fictional town called Sweet Valley located in southern California.
Eternal Champ II will be released this 4/20, along with limited edition t-shirts and vinyl. To pre-order your copy visit the official Ghost Ramp website.
