Major Lazer and Anitta released their latest single “Make It Hot” along with a spicy, steamy video of ladies shaking their rear ends.
In the official music video for “Make It Hot” Major Lazer and Anitta dance around in a Latin American country somewhere. Or maybe it’s in the Caribbean, they don’t really specify. The song is in all Spanish, even though Anitta is Brazilian, and therefore speaks native Portuguese.
“Hasta en Aruba, por mi figura quieren conmigo, eh (Even in Aruba they want me, eh)/ Hasta en Ibiza, cuando yo llego dicen “Anitta”, yeh (Even in Ibiza when I get there they say Anitta, yeah)/
Te gusta mi sensualidad (You like my sensuality)/ Y que soy del bloque también como Jenny (And that I’m from they block like Jenny)…” sings Anitta over the reggaeton-dancehall influenced beat.
The track was produced by Major Lazer and Boaz van de Beatz. Major Lazer recently announced they were replacing Jillionaire with Ape Drums. The song will be part of the upcoming Lazerism album that is expected in 2019, along with “Can’t Take It from Me” featuring Skip Marley.
Anitta is from a middle class neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro called Honório Gurgel. She was discovered singing on YouTube in 2010 and shortly thereafter was signed to Warner Music Brazil. She already worked with Major Lazer last year when they did “Sua Cara” with Pabllo Vitar, and it’s one of her most popular songs. She also did “Loka (Ao Vivo)” with Simone and Simaria, “Downtown” with J. Balvin, and “Nego do Borel – Você Partiu Meu Coração” with Wesley Safadão.
On her official Instagram account, where she has 38.8 million Latin followers, Anitta, aka
Larissa de Macedo Machado, posted this photo at a festival where she performed in her chonies.
