After freaking six years of jazz and country, Lady Gaga finally returns with a club friendly track called “Stupid Love” and a futuristic music video.
Lady Gaga dropped a new single called “Stupid Love” with an alien themed music video. She seems to be returning to synth dance pop music after several years of a country/jazz phase.
“You’re the one that I’ve been waiting for/ Gotta quit this cryin, nobody’s gonna/ Heal me if I don’t open the door/ Kinda hard to believe, gotta have faith in me…” sings Gaga in the opening lyrics.
It is the first single from Lady Gaga’s, aka Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta’s, upcoming album Chromatica via Interscope Records. This will be her seventh studio length album, and the first since the A Star Is Born soundtrack with Bradley Cooper in 2018. Before that was Joanne in 2016.
The track was produced by EDM producer Tchami, in collaboration with pop music producer BloodPop. Tchami, aka Martin Joseph Léonard Bresso, is from Paris, France. He is associated with DJ Snake’s record label, Pardon My French. Michael “BloodPop” Tucker, aka Blood Diamonds, Blood, and Michael Diamond, has produced music for Justin Bieber and more.
BloodPop posted this behind the scenes image from the studio on Lady Gaga’s birthday. He has pink hair, and so does Lady Gaga when she dresses up like a sexy alien in the music video.
