Kiwi artist Kimbra is back at it again with a music video for her latest single “Like They Do on the TV.”
Kimbra, a.k.a. Kimbra Lee Johnson, from New Zealand, dropped this music video to accompany her new song “Like They Do on the TV.” In it a lot of people burn their TV’s after Kimbra hacks them.
You probably recognize Kimbra from the female vocals in “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye. She won a Grammy for that six years ago. Now she has a third studio album called Primal Heart. It is scheduled to be released on 4/20. And one of the upcoming songs, “Top of the World” was produced by Skrillex. She recorded most of it in New York City.
In an interview with Interview Magazine, Kimbra talked about the experience of recording her third album after moving to the city. “In subtle ways, [it] brought out different kinds of strengths in me and has challenged me, because I think you have to be very independent in New York,” she told them. “Even setting up my own studio was a big deal; not working out of other people’s studios all the time and having my own space was liberating.”
