Hot Chip has returned with a song called “Hungry Child.” The official video is about a hipster couple who are being followed by house music.
In the music video for “Hungry Child” by Hot Chip, a mysterious song keeps following a couple around town, while people complain about dirty hipsters and their annoying house music.
“Been trying hard to pull you back/ All my life, it’s momentary/ A moment like a heart attack/ Stopped my life, it’s momentary…” goes the chorus over and over while they try to figure out what it all means.
The UK’s Hot Chip consists of Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke and Felix Martin. The dance music band announced they were releasing their eighth studio length album with the release of the “Hungry Child” video. It will be called A Bathful of Ecstasy and is expected on June 21, 2019. This is their first original release since 2015 when they dropped Why Make Sense.
Hot Chip also revealed they will be on a tour of Europe and North America for the rest of the spring. And you can pre-order the new LP on vinyl for $24, CD for $12, or special edition signed vinyl for $26.95. So their signatures are worth about $3. And there is different cover art. But nowadays all anyone cares about is getting a selfie with the artists anyway.
Preorder A Bathful of Ecstasy by Hot Chip including “Hungry Child” at their official website, and check out the 2019 tour schedule. Order before April 8 to receive priority access to the tour.
