For Love & Lemons’ summer swimwear is inspired by the dance clubs, cabaret shows, Spanish guitar and Afro-Cuban rhythms of Cuba.
Los Angeles based designers Laura Hall and Gilian Rose Kern are the founders of For Love & Lemons. In 2016 the fashion label started designing swimwear to go with the dresses and lingerie.
This year the theme was Cuba. It included matching separates in vintage patterns such as candy stripe, lemons, macrame cover ups, ‘daiquiri’ lace, polka dot and retro floral.
Here are some of the best pieces from the Cuban inspired For Love & Lemons SS18 Swim campaign, as selected by Slutty Raver Costumes.
The most popular choice seems to be the Havana One Piece ($202), because it has a cutout front with a bandeau halter neck and a triangle backside and gold ring details.
Another customer favorite is the Isla Triangle Top ($92), and the Isla Thong Bottom ($95). It also comes in the Havana print. It is shown here worn under the Mariposa Coverup ($198).
The Mariposa One Piece ($198) is an elaborate monokini with a criss crossing front tie feature, a triangle cut leg and two back straps. The model also wear Cat Eye Sunnies ($96).
The Daiquiri Underwire Top ($104) goes well with the Daiquiri Hi Waist Bottom ($167), which has a high thigh cut and a triangle shaped backside.
The Tropicana Bandeau ($167) can be worn with the ruffle over one shoulder or alone. It has an appropriate pattern of lemons on white. As does the Tropicana Ruffle Bottom ($99).
