Dr. Martens x UNDERCOVER is a limited edition collection designed by the Japanese street fashion label’s founder Jun Takahashi.
For the summer of 2019 Dr. Martens let Japanese designer Jun Takahashi of UNDERCOVER loose on the Women’s 1460. The results are white monochrome, pastel yellow and lavender.
Dr. Martens x UNDERCOVER Women’s 1460 8-Eye Boot ($250/pair)
The eight-eye tall boots feature a leather upper with a scripted red heel loop and a vintage trans DMS sole. Each pair is made in England, and comes in dual-branded shoe box with extra laces.
UNDERCOVER was founded by Takahashi in 1990 while he was enrolled in the Bunka Academy of Fashion. The designs are inspired by Japanese punk culture. They have collaborated with Supreme, Nike and Uniqlo. This is the brands second collaboration with Dr. Martens. The first one was a men’s 1460 8-eye boot they called the New Warriors collection. That was in April 2019.
UNDERCOVER’s SS19 line also includes a lot of oversized tees with aliens and robots on them in the $100 to $300 range. There is also a David Bowie sweater and coin pouch for about $1,000. UNDERCOVER is sold at retailers of designer fashions, but not on their official website.
Shop for the Dr. Martens x UNDERCOVER Women’s 1460 8-eye Boot at Dr. Martens official web store. They are also available from SSENSE along with other UNDERCOVER products.
