Buffalo London’s chunky platform sandals are here for the summer. And there was totally a collaboration with Opening Ceremony.
Buffalo London’s super chunky platform sneakers put dad sneakers to shame. Now they are available as a hideous platform sandal, including a collaboration with Opening Ceremony.
There are two styles of Buffalo platform sandals to be aware of in the spring and summer of 2019. At the top are the Buffalo Platform Sandals ($181) in black. Then there are the Logo Strap (Platform) Sandals ($197) in white. The white logos are more expensive than the black.
But that’s not all. Buffalo x Opening Ceremony Classic (Platform) Sandals ($165) are available in red and black, exclusively at the official Opening Ceremony online boutique. They have the street cred that can only come from combining two legendary brands together in one product. They also did a Hiker Classic Low Sneaker ($225), and a Hiker Classic High Sneaker ($260).
Opening Ceremony was founded in 2002 by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, partners since they attended Berkeley together in the 90’s. They have boutiques in New York City and Los Angeles, and a web store, where they sell designer street fashions as well as their own designs.
Buffalo London shows us how to wear the new sandals on their official Instagram account. They style them with oversize tees, shorts, small tube hoop earring, and small sunglass lenses with wire frames. The models have white manicures and pedicures that contrast with the black.
