Blink 182 and Lil Wayne produced a mashup of “What’s My Age Again x A Milli” and then they were like, let’s just perform it live on tour.
Blink 182 and Lil Wayne have announced a tour of North America this summer with a mashup music video. The production combines two of their smash hits in what we have dubbed, “What’s My Age, A Milli.” Lil Wayne joins Mark Hoppus at the front of the band in a preview of the tour.
“What’s My Age Again” (1999) by Blink 182 and “A Milli” (2008) by Lil Wayne are two of their most popular singles of all time. It turns out they are compatible enough to play together simultaneously in a rock-rap rendition reminiscent of “Walk This Way” by Aerosmith and Run DMC back in 1986.
In dance music production a mashup is when you combine two or more songs and play them together in a way that is auditorily pleasing. Many have attempted this but not all succeed.
At the same time the artists announced the Blink 182 and Lil Wayne North American Tour with special guests Neck Deep. The schedule covers 39 dates across the US and Canada from June 27 to September 18, 2019. Both Lil Wayne and Travis Barker stated they were, “Stoked,” on their official Instagram accounts. Tom Delonge didn’t make a post about the tour or the mashup.
