Tommie Sunshine is a huge Katy Perry fan. You can tell because he has done a remix of almost all of her songs. This is the one that Perry chose to feature on her official Vevo channel in 2012. It is a smashup of six of her best tunes into one seven minute long super song with a slightly different music video.
Teenage Dream (Kaskade Club Remix Video)
In 2010 Kaskade produced an official remix of “Teenage Dream” that was better for club play. They also released a “club remix video” that was played on big screen TV’s in nightclubs across the world.
Dark Horse (PHYNX Trap Remix)
The PHYNX trap remix of “Dark Horse” is unofficial or a bootleg as they call it. However it has over 8.5 million streams on YouTube alone. Trap producer PHYNX is from Atlanta and living in Los Angeles.
Waking Up In Vegas (Manhattan Clique Remix)
One of Perry’s earliest singles in 2009 “Waking Up In Vegas” was remixed by Calvin Harris and Jason Nevins. But it is the Manhattan Clique remix she chose to feature on her official YouTube channel, where it has accumulated over 8.4 million plays. It is a good soundtrack for a girls’ trip to Vegas for sure.
Chained To The Rhythm (Oliver Heldens Remix)
“Chained to the Rhythm” is one of the singer’s most recent singles from the album Witness (2017). The music video was about a vintage yet futuristic amusement park where anything goes. The remix album included a reinterpretation by Hot Chip, which you can listen to on Spotify.
Swish Swish (Cheat Codes Remix)
Perry’s most recent single “Swish Swish” featuring Nicki Minaj had a music video about her playing basketball with cartoon characters. It was remixed by Blonde, Cheat Codes and Valentino Khan.
Birthday (Cash Cash Remix)
In 2014 Cash Cash did an official remix of Perry’s single “Birthday” that was pretty cool. Cash Cash is an EDM production trio from New Jersey that consists of three brothers.
Other EDM remixes of Katy Perry tracks include the E.T. Remixes (2011) featuring Tiësto, Benny Benassi, Dave Aude, Noisia and Johnson Somerset & John Monkman. Purity Ring, Monsieur Adi and TĀLĀ did remixes of “Rise” in 2016. And in 2017 3lau remixed “Bon Appétit.”
