Skrillex Goes Back to His Screamo Roots for 'Surrender'

Sonny Moore and his band From First to Last made a new song called “Surrender” and are giving it away for free.

Skrillex aka Sonny Moore dropped an emo song with his old band From First to Last. You see back in the days of MySpace, Moore was the frontman in a band called From First to Last. He had emo hair, and a lip ring, and at one point he blew out his vocal cords from scream-singing too much.

Now that Skrillex is famous and produces music for Justin Bieber and Rihanna it is sporting of him to make a song with From First to Last. Still it is not EDM and there is no fucking bass drop.

“I’m surfin’ perma-prescription drug Ecstasy opera/Drink my weight daily/Black out with my baby I tried to love her/She said surrender harder motherfucker/I ran for cover/She screamed surrender harder motherfucker…” laments Moore in the new song.

From First to Last’s other members include Derek Bloom, Matt Good and Travis Richter. They are pictured in the image at the top of the page with Skrillex.

According to Skrillex, “I don’t wanna make a big deal about it but I made a new song with my old band @FFTLAST and we decided to give it away for free in a few hours.” And the cover art is lipstick.
