Body tape is officially fashion design after the Black Tape Project walked the runways at Miami Swim Week 2018 with live body taping.
Joel Alvarez has dedicated years of his life to carefully adhering strips of tape to models for the Black Tape Project. The designer just debuted at Miami Swim Week 2018.
In the video of the full length runway show seen above, the models strut their stuff wearing tape bikinis and one pieces. Alvarez does a live taping installation, and that sells body tape.
Boob tape is well and good, but Alvarez has taken the art to the next level. Not only is he taping up boobs, but he also proves you can make a thong from body tape. Hopefully this will be the start of a beauty trend where MUA’s are taping people up on Instagram in super fast forward.
The body tape used by the Black Tape Project is now available online in platinum or gold. It is $24.99 per one inch roll, and $49.99 per two inch roll. Each roll is 10 yards long.
