Sophie Turner wears Louis Vuitton make a promise bracelet

Louis Vuitton Renews Promise to UNICEF w/ Bracelets

Louis Vuitton will donate proceeds from the Silver Lockit jewelry collection to UNICEF to bring support to vulnerable children.

Sophie Turner, shown above wearing the Silver Lockit Bracelet she designed with Louis Vuitton, may act in Game of Thrones. But violent war crimes really happen in some countries. That’s why it’s so important to support nonprofit organizations like UNICEF, who assists children around the world. So Luis Vuitton partnered with UNICEF and Turner to design a jewelry collection.

The Lockit charm on each piece is made from sterling silver. Louis Vuitton will donate $100 to from the sale of each Silver Locket Bracelet by Turner to UNICEF. And they will donate $200 from the sale of every Silver Lockit Bracelet ($500 each) and the Silver Locket Pendant ($600 each).

Michael Burke, CEO at Louis Vuitton, stated, “Charity starts at home. We’ve challenged our teams to come up with a simple but strong product that symbolizes protection. The Silver Lockit is inspired by the unpickable tumbler lock, invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890 to protect clients’ most precious belongings that travelled in Louis Vuitton trunks,” in a press statement.

This is the third year the fashion house has partnered with UNICEF to raise money for vulnerable children in less developed nations. Since 2016 they have raised over $2.5 million.

As a nonprofit organization, UNICEF does not endorse any one brand. But they are allowed to accept donations from them. Especially if it is a high priced designer label. You can wear the simple bracelet everyday as a reminder that there are children suffering all over the world. Or it’s the perfect Christmas gift for anyone that likes silver jewelry and helping refugee children.

Other supporters of the charity event include Kim Jones, Kate Moss and David Beckham.
