Lady Gaga announced Haus Beauty in a tech blog, and it already has a ton of investors. What amazing makeup will Lady Gaga release?
Apparently Lady Gaga is getting into the beauty game, after a surprise reveal in Recode. Recode is a technology blog that is endorsed by Lady Gaga. She already has a bid from Lightspeed Venture Partners, the venture capitalists behind Jessica Alba’s Honest Company.
Quoth Recode, “Haus Beauty — which is currently in ‘stealth mode’ in startup parlance, or which has simply not yet launched in normal human parlance — is being run by CEO Ben Jones, the former chief digital officer at Honest Company and its offshoot Honest Beauty, sources said. Lady Gaga — born Stefani Germanotta — is a founder, but any day-to-day role beyond that is not clear.”
Lady Gaga gets her makeup done all the time, so she knows something about applying makeup. And she should diversify now that musicians can’t make as much on album sales anymore.
So far the beauty products from the new line have not been revealed.
