Grandtheft’s latest single “She Knows” is characterized by a pulsating backbeat, memorable horn lead and love that dare not speak it’s name.
Grandtheft, aka Aaron Waisglass from Toronto, Canada, just dropped a music video for his song “She Knows” featuring the R&B vocals of Just Chase.
In the new music video, directed by Combo Bravo, the main characters wear a lot of street fashions, including outerwear, designer cat eye sunglasses and camouflage prints. We spotted the Acne Studios Mustang sunglasses, which were inspired by 90’s glasses from the 60’s.
The new single is via Dim Mak Records, even though Grandtheft’s bio says he is signed to Mad Decent. Both labels are headquartered in the Los Angeles part of southern California.
This follows the visual that Dim Mak released for the track. It was a little confusing because it appeared to be two roses in a bathtub for three minutes, which had a nice visual effect.
On Instagram, Waisglass stated, “It’s about crushing on the baddest woman knowing damn well she’s way too good for you.. (and her knowing it too). this one is special to me. it’s got soul and feels uniquely like toronto… let me know what you think link in bio.”
