Gorillaz Spin Around in Circles for ‘Fire Flies’ Visualizer

In wake of their highly anticipated album The Now Now, the Gorillaz posted a visualizer for the song “Fire Flies” on YouTube.

The Gorillaz have been teasing their next album The Now Now for months now. It all started last May at All Points East Festival in London, where someone put up a lot of mysterious Gorillaz posters bearing slogans like, “NO MORE UNICORNS ANYMORE.” Maybe they have unicorn fatigue?

Now, now there is a visualizer for one of the new songs called “Fire Flies.” They also did visuals for their songs “Lake Zurich” and “Sorcerz” as well as a music video for “Humility.” They are all streaming now via the official Gorillaz YouTube channel. Reach it through the video below.

The animated band recorded the majority of the album during their Humanz tour, so that they would have fresh material for more concerts. They first dropped “Idaho” at a Seattle show in September 2017. In March 2018, they revealed “Hollywood” featuring Snoop Dogg and Jamie Principle, at a concert in Chile. Then in May they showed up to All Points East Festival.

The Now Now Track Listing:

1. Humility featuring George Benson
2. Tranz
3. Hollywood featuring Snoop Dogg and Jamie Principle
4. Kansas
5. Sorcererz
6. Idaho
7. Lake Zurich

Gorillaz frontman Damon Alborn said that the album was very much him singing, and that it was, “Very sort of in a world of 2D.” The album is scheduled for release on June 29, 2018.
