It’s not Lights’ fault but the animated video for “Drama Free” by Deadmau5 is full of creepy characters and poop jokes. There seems to be some type of wormhole thing happening.
“Think of a monster, you name it, I been it/ It’s been a hell of a ride, but I’m in it/ Birth of a queen is the death of a cynic/ Imma be good, but just give me a minute...” Lights crisply enunciates.
Lights, aka Lights Poxleitner-Bokan, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and comic book illustrator. Her Skin and Earth album/comic book makes her appeal to a wide range of music nerds and comic book fans. So she can go to Coachella and Comic Con. She’s been active for about ten years now. To be fair she has a lot of music videos that are not gross, such as her last single “We Were Here.”
The track is part of Joel “Deadmau5” Zimmerman’s new album Mau5ville Level 2 out now. He loves geeky stuff like computers, music gear and video games. His label Mau5trap signs a lot of character DJ’s that have an interesting story to go along with their music, like Rezz or Marshmello.
