Production duo AlunaGeorge are back with “Superior Emotion” featuring Cautious Clay from their upcoming Champagne Eyes EP.
AlunaGeorge, aka Aluna Francis and George Reid from the UK, have an EP called Champagne Eyes that will be available on October 5, 2018. They have a new music video for “Superior Emotion.”
“Superior emotion/ Obsessed with the mess and the feeling of devotion/ That’s what I want, but I know I don’t need it/ That’s what I want and it makes me weak…” Francis in a distinctive soprano.
You probably remember AlunaGeorge from a few years ago when they did “You Know You Like It” (2012), “White Noise” with Disclosure (2013), and “I’m in Control” with Popcaan (2016). They still play those songs on the radio in the US. And now they are back in time for the holidays.

Francis told the Fader, “I really wanted to work with a female director who understood how to mix satire and beauty to really tell the story of this song.” Then she discusses the collaboration, “In the same way, having really got to know Cautious I felt like he would perfectly capture the object of my unrequited affection with his incredible voice and nuanced lyrics.”
